SWEDISH MASSAGE is designed to help your body shut down the stress response. Long, soothing strokes increase circulation of blood and lymph.  It is a relaxing and rejuvenating massage.  Light- to medium-pressured strokes increase circulation and reduce muscle fatigue.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE is effective in releasing chronic tension and pain.  During a deep tissue session the therapist uses slower, more directed strokes aimed at the deeper muscles and connective tissues that Swedish Massage does not touch.  Deep tissue massage includes:

  • Myofascial Release - Myo refers to muscle and fascia is the web of connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles, enabling movement of the body. Myofascial release techniques can release tight or stuck areas of fascia that develop as wegothrough our daily lives. After assessing your particular problems, the therapist will begin stretching and releasing the outermost layer of tissue, and gradually add more pressure to loosen the deeper holding patterns. After a few sessions, these upper layers of tissue remain relaxed and the therapist can work deeper to achieve long-lasting pain relief and increased range of motion.
  • Neuromuscular Massage – Addressing the connection between mind and body, this massage helps to eliminate trigger points and restore flexibility to muscles.
  • Sports Massage – Designed to enhance both athletic performance and recovery from a rigorous training regimen or athletic event, sports massage aids muscles in healing faster after injury and lessens the scar tissue that develops during the healing process.

PRE AND POST-NATAL MASSAGES are designed to help the mother's body adjust to the demands of childbearing and help her body return to normal. After the first trimester, Prenatal massage focuses on relieving pains and fatigue of pregnancy by releasing tension in muscles, thereby increasing flexibility and making it easier for your body to adjust to a changing shape.

During your prenatal massage you will be supported with special cushions designed to support your changing shape. Massage can help you prepare for the birthing process by increasing your awareness of tension in your body and then learning how to consciously release it. You can also practice breathing and relaxation techniques while a tender area is being massaged. The result will be increased confidence and control during labor.

REFLEXOLOGY is an ancient therapy that stimulates reflex areas on the feet to reduce pain, increase energy flow through the body, and foster relaxation.
